Ari Reubin

Ari Reubin is the Global Chair of Cleanovation 2011. Along with being a Board Member of the Texas-Israel Chamber of Commerce since 2009, Ari is also Co-Chairman of the Clean Technology Committee. Ari is an experienced operations and strategy executive with a strong track record to envision and implement initiatives. Ari is the Co-Founder, and Executive Managing Director of DARWIN’S BEAGLE, INC., Dallas, Texas. The firm is a specialist in providing business process solutions to Fortune 500 and mid-market companies. Each solution leverages Six-Sigma and Lean Six-Sigma improvement methods to evolve management processes and product innovation. His team applied these methods to more than 50 clients in the US, Canada, Far East, Europe, Middle East, and South Africa. Through these monumental achievements, he is also Senior Advisor, Business Process Improvement, CB RICHARD ELLIS GROUP (CBRE), Dallas Texas. He has been advising: American Express India, American Express Corporate, Comerica Bank, Dow Chemical, Exxon-Mobil, Pfizer, and Siemens. Prior to 2009 Ari was the global practice leader, as VP of Quality and Innovation Assurance for CBRE.
Christoph Inauen
Head of Business Development, New Markets
Leading the New Markets Business Development activities for Nokia Siemens Networks in North America, Christoph Inauen has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology and Mobile Communications Industry. His current focus is on bringing the communication network technologies to the utility market, which will allow the realization of key aspects of the SmartGrid.
Previously, Christoph held the position of the Head of Network Solutions at Nokia Siemens Networks in North America, where his focus has been on designing and delivering system solutions that enable communication service providers to deliver unique service experiences and differentiation in the market place. Also, he held leadership positions at Nokia Networks in Product- and System Marketing and Network Architecture Design. He has been with Nokia and now Nokia Siemens Networks for over 12 years, working in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Prior to this, he was a Product Manager for communications systems and system controllers in the machine industry and an IT/Telecom network consultant.
Christoph holds a Swiss Federal Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Diploma in Business Administration from SIU, Switzerland.
Louis A. Finkel
Vice President, Federal Public Affairs
Louis Finkel joined McGuireWoods Consulting in April 2011 as a vice president in the Federal Public Affairs Group. Louis represents clients before U.S. Congress and executive branch agencies with a particular emphasis on telecommunications, education, energy, health and transportation issues. Prior to joining MWC, he served as chief of staff for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science and Technology acting as staff director and administrator of the Committee and the senior policy advisor to Committee Chairman Bart Gordon (D-TN). Before his appointment as chief of staff, he served as director of policy and outreach for the Committee from 2007 to 2009. During Louis’ tenure, the Committee moved 150 bills and resolutions through the House, all of which were bipartisan. Before moving back to Capitol Hill, he spent nearly six years in the private sector representing the interests of educational institutions, non-profits, technology companies and energy interests as a member of the firm of Lent Scrivner & Roth, and later at ExxonMobil Corporation.
Brett A. Perlman
President, Vector Advisors
Brett A. Perlman is currently President of Vector Advisors, a management consulting firm that provides services to telecommunications and energy clients. Prior to his current role, he served as Commissioner of the Public Utility Commission of Texas from 1999 to 2003. Perlman was appointed to the Texas PUC in 1999 by then-Governor George W. Bush and served until his term ended in September 2003. In this role, he was responsible for leading the successful restructuring of Texas’ $17 billion electric utility industry and $4 billion telecommunications industry as these markets opened to competition.
As a result of Perlman’s leadership, Texas has been widely recognized as having the best electric restructuring program in the country and as one of the most successful competitive telecommunications markets. In addition, Perlman was the only publicly appointed official to serve throughout the entire Texas electric restructuring process and therefore has unparalleled insights into the Texas electric market. Perlman’s current activities as President of Vector Advisors include providing management consulting services to telecommunications and energy clients. Prior to his appointment to the Texas PUC, Perlman was a management consultant with the Texas office of McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm known for its leadership role in business consulting. At McKinsey, Perlman specialized in strategic planning for Fortune 500 technology companies in identifying new market opportunities and developing corporate strategies. Perlman has also practiced law with the Washington D.C. office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld and with the Houston office of Jenkens & Gilchrist.
Perlman has been actively involved in his community at both the state and local levels. He wrote a nationally recognized report for the state’s Science and Technology Council and provided strategic planning for the state’s Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund Board, which was responsible for Texas’ $1.5 billion fund for wiring schools for the Internet. Perlman also helped start the Houston Technology Center, where he serves on the Advisory Board, and is a Board member of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Houston.
Jim Lauria
Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Amiad
Jim Lauria is Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Amiad Filtration Systems, a manufacturer of clean technology water filtration systems for agricultural, industrial, municipal and commercial applications. He holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from Manhattan College and has over twenty years of global experience as a senior executive in the water technology industry.

Dr. Carey King
Research Associate, Center for International Energy & Environmental Policy, Jackson School of Geosciences
Dr. Carey King researches energy systems and how they work together and within the environment. Carey’s research interests focus upon understanding how technology and policy can interact within the nexus between energy and water; relating measures of net energy to economics; integration and transition to increased renewable energy production; and promoting objective analyses of energy tradeoffs for energy education, decision-making, and policy development for natural resources. Dr. King is currently a Research Associate at the Center for International Energy and Environmental Policy at the Jackson School of Geosciences.
Kent Turner
President and CEO, IDE Americas, Inc.
Kent Turner is President and CEO of IDE Americas, Inc. and Ambient Technologies, Inc., the wholly owned North American subsidiaries of IDE Technologies, Ltd., the premier desalination technology provider based in Kadima Israel. As President and CEO, Turner manages and supports IDE’s Western Hemisphere activities and business development. Turner is a licensed CPA in the state of Missouri. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Lincoln University and a master’s degree from Fontbonne College.
Turner has over 30 years of water/wastewater industry experience. Prior to Turner’s tenure at IDE he was with American Water most recently serving as President of California American Water.
